Scan result 15th December showed no further deterioration - early Christmas present, the chemo drug we fought so hard for is still doing its job.

Congratulations Claudette on the money raised for St Peter's Hospice and times for Bristol Half Marathon 2 hours 1 second, Cardiff Half Marathon 1 hour 55 minutes.

Last year Claudette ran the Bath Half Marathon on behalf of the Rarer Cancers Forum who helped Bob procure funding for this drug from the NHS. This year she will be running the Bristol Half Marathon in September followed by Cardiff Half Marathon in October. This year Claudette's chosen charity is St Peter's Hospice  In Bristol Claudette is running as part of a team; 'Sole Sisters' alongside the Mayor of Bradley Stoke who is also running to raise money for St Peter's Hospice.

On 4th July 2010 Claudette's cousin, Mandy Nelson lost her battle to cancer after an eight month fight. Mandy lived life to the full and was only 40 when she passed away leaving a 3yr old son Elliott, husband Dave and sister Bernie. Mandy spent her last few days in St Peter's Hospice and after visiting her there, Claudette realised what an amazing job they do. Their support to families at this sad time is second to none.

St Peter’s Hospice is Bristol’s only adult hospice caring for local people with incurable illnesses. Their commitment is to improve the quality of life of patients while extending care and support to their families and loved ones. If you would like to sponsor Claudette you can do so at her Just Giving page.
